CARROLLTON LACROSSE

2025  SPRING  LACROSSE

For the Spring 2025 Lacrosse Season, we will continue to offer the Flex6 format, Girls’ Lacrosse, and the Carrollton Lacrosse 6v6 LeagueAll programs are conducted on Avenger Field, the large field next to the Audubon tennis courts.  Below is a detailed overview of each program.

Flex6:  This is a non-contact program for Boys and Girls 5–8 years old as of Aug 31, 2024  Players only need a lacrosse stick and a mouthpiece. No other equipment is required. This is a fast and fun way for young players to get introduced to lacrosse.
Flex6 will be once a week, on Mondays, 6:30-7:30PM, starting January 27 and ending on March 17.  Parental involvement will greatly impact player skill development, so volunteer coaches are welcome. No previous lacrosse experience is required.

Girls Lacrosse:  This program is for Girls who are 9–13 years old as of Aug 31, 2024.  The program will teach the fundamentals of the game, including stick skills and game play. Mandatory equipment needed for girls’ lacrosse is a stick, mouthguard, and protective eyewear. In addition to weekly practice, there will be optional games that will require travel. Game information will be finalized in early 2025.
Girls Lacrosse will take place on Mondays from 6:30-7:30PM, starting on January 27 and ending March 31.  If you have women’s lacrosse experience or just want to be involved in the growth of this sport in the area, please let us know!

Carrollton Lacrosse League (6v6):  Available to Boys who are 9–13 years old as of Aug 31, 2024 (no 8th graders). The league will be split into two divisions – 4/5th Grade and 6/7th Grade. Players will be drafted, and parents will be notified as to what team their child is on prior to the beginning of league play. This is a ‘full pads’ league and participation in this program will require all mandatory equipment including lacrosse stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, mouthpiece, and protective cup. This league will be short sticks only, no defensive poles will be allowed.
To prepare the players for the season and to learn the Sixes Format, we will hold 2 practices prior to beginning of league play. Those practice dates are January 20 and 22 – 6:30-8PM at Avenger Field. From there, the Carrollton Lacrosse League will begin on Wednesday, January 29th and end no later than April 7th.
Once teams are drafted, a full team schedule and rosters will be released to all parents. Players will have games on Wednesday nights with a skills session either before or after their game.
Once league play begins, we will need volunteers to coach the individual teams in order to substitute players and provide high level gamesmanship guidance. No previous lacrosse experience is needed, as the present coaches will provide help as needed. Please reach out to Lehan Wilson and let him know if you are interested in helping out.

The cost for the Fall program will be $150 per player ($25 discount for multiple registrants), plus a non-refundable $2 transaction fee.   To register, click on the registration link and proceed from there.  For registration or fee assistance, contact Alan Godchaux at [email protected].

Looking forward to a great Spring 2025 season!
