2026 FALL SOCCER

THE PROGRAM
The Carrollton Boosters soccer program is a recreational, intramural program for boys and girls aged 3 - 16 as of

Registered players are

U-13 Girls: Girls who were 10,11, or 12 on July 31, 2026
U-17 mixed: Boys and Girls who were 13,14,15 or 16 on July 31, 2026

Children in our 3-year-old program (U-4 mixed) are divided into small training groups that meet on Saturday mornings. Each session will include some basic soccer skill training and plenty of fun. All sessions will be held at the Carrollton Boosters’ Riverview sports complex (baseball/softball fields) on the “Fly” behind the Audubon Zoo.

U-17 players train as a group on Wednesday evenings, then play “pick-up” games on Saturdays.

All other players U-6 through U-13 are drafted onto teams, then play a schedule of games from mid-September through late November. Most games will be on Saturdays, at varying times, plus the U-8, U-10 and U-13 leagues will also have some Friday evening games. All games will be held on the “Fly” behind the Audubon Zoo.

U-6 teams do not generally practice outside of their Saturday time slot. Practices for U-8, U-10, and U-13 leagues will be scheduled by coaches, usually on weeknights on the “Fly”. Practice day, time, and location will be chosen by the coaches. Carrollton Boosters will continue to provide a security detail at its facilities during scheduled practices and games.

Players will be issued a team shirt and socks, to be worn at all games. They will also need shin guards, plus either soccer cleats (preferable) or tennis shoes. Each player should have his or her own ball as well. Appropriate ball sizes are: #3 for U-4, U-6 and U-8, #4 for U-10 and U-13, and #5 for U-17.

REGISTRATION
Carrollton is switching to a new online registration system, PlayMetrics, so in order to register, you will need to create a new registration account, if you have not already done so. Click on this registration link
PlayMetrics login and proceed from there. The fee is $175 for the first child, $150 for each additional child, plus credit card or ACH fees. You may request financial aid during the registration process.

Note that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Some leagues will inevitably fill up, so we urge you to register your children as soon as possible.

Also note that, while we will allow children to be registered for both soccer and flag football, there could be game conflicts between the two sports as both are played primarily on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Registration fees are refundable up until teams are drafted.

Contact Alan Godchaux at
algodch@aol.com for more information or for payment assistance. Full and partial scholarships are available.

GRADING & DRAFTING
All players in the U8, U10 and U13 leagues must be graded. Grading will likely take place the weekend of August 21-22; the schedule will be announced soon.  Players must be registered in order to be graded.

All players U6 through U13 are assigned to teams through a player draft. By registering your child, you agree to having him or her placed in the player draft, during which any of our volunteer coaches may pick him or her onto a team. Carrollton Boosters does not guarantee placement of any player onto any particular team, or onto a team with any particular other player(s).

The only exceptions are that coaches get to pick their own children, and that siblings are placed on the same team, unless otherwise requested by their parent/guardian. Furthermore, Carrollton Boosters does not guarantee that a player will be placed on a team with a specified practice day, time, or location. After players have been drafted onto a team, registration fees will not be refunded or credited, except in cases of illness or injury.

COACHING

When registering your child or children for soccer, please consider coaching your child’s team. Carrollton relies on volunteer parents to coach its teams. Coaching is an excellent way to not only develop a greater appreciation for soccer, but to form a special bond with your son or daughter as the season progresses. As a head coach, you would get to pick the players for your child's team (subject to availability in the draft), and you would get to select a practice slot.

In order to coach, simply answer “yes” to the question when registering, then also complete the volunteer questionnaire later in the registration process, and we will contact you.

SPONSORSHIP
Another way to contribute to our program is to sponsor your child’s team. Sponsors select the team’s colors and name, and may include a business name and logo as well. The fee is $300 and can be paid with your child’s registration or can be paid by a separate check. Simply answer “yes” to the sponsor question when registering your child, then, after you have completed your child(ren)’s registration, choose one of three ways to get your sponsor info to us:

  1. Click this link to be taken directly to our sponsor form: 2026 Fall Soccer Sponsor Form
  2. E-mail your sponsorship information to Missy McLellan at midnight.round@gmail.com.
  3. Click the “Soccer sponsor form” tab on our website’s home page.

Important to note:

  1. Sponsorship choices (colors and team names) are determined by the date they are submitted, i.e first come, first served.
  2. Your sponsorship will be attached to your child’s team unless you specify otherwise.

If you have any questions regarding sponsoring a team, please contact Missy McLellan at 504-914-7786 or by email to midnight.round@gmail.com

THE NEW ORLEANS JESTERS IN-SEASON SKILLS CLINIC
Carrollton’s partner in soccer, the New Orleans Jesters of the National Premier Soccer League, serve as trainers for our young players and will conduct clinics for our volunteer parent-coaches.

For players in the U6 through U13 leagues, Carrollton offers, for an additional fee of $50, a series of clinics (training sessions) on Friday evenings throughout the soccer season. The clinics are conducted by members of the Jesters soccer club. You may opt to register your child(ren) for the Friday clinics with your soccer registration, or you may contact Alan Godchaux, algodch@aol.com, to add the clinics later on.

The Jesters also run the New Orleans Jesters Soccer Academy, which features Pre-Elite and Elite training programs, in which Carrollton Boosters recreational players are invited to participate. For more information about these programs, contact krewe@nolajesters.com

DONATIONS
When registering, please also consider making a tax-deductible contribution to our Capital Fund. Contributions to this fund are used for continued additions and improvements to our fields and facilities.
