BASKETBALL and SPRING SOCCER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Basketball is available for Boys aged 5 - 13, and Girls aged 5 - 12, as of August 31, 2016. The basketball season runs from mid-January through the end of March. The 5-year old beginner league and the 6-7 Boys league play on Saturdays. Girls’ leagues are expected to play on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the older Boys’ leagues (8-9, 10-11, and 12-13) will play on weeknights, plus the 12-13’s will play on Sunday evenings. We will once again play our games at the Newman School gyms.

Spring Soccer is available for Boys and Girls aged 3 – 12 as of December 31, 2016. The season runs from mid-January through early April, with games generally on Saturdays (older leagues also play on Friday nights) at the Audubon Riverview (the Fly) behind the Audubon Zoo.

Please note that the Spring Soccer and Basketball programs run concurrently, and that there will likely be conflicts for any child registered for both sports. Conflicts may be easier to manage for Girls, since the girls’ basketball game schedule can be limited to particular nights, currently expected to be Mondays and Wednesdays.

Click the “registration” tab to register, and when registering, please consider

NATIONAL HONOR TO DOUG MILLS AND CARROLLTON LACROSSE

Please join the Carrollton Boosters Club in congratulating Vice-President and Commissioner of Lacrosse Doug Mills for winning the prestigious national award from US Lacrosse: Excellence in Growing The Game. This award is, “Given to an individual who supports the US Lacrosse mission and vision, working effectively and tirelessly to develop lacrosse in a particular geographic area.” A short 5 years ago Doug started the Carrollton Lacrosse program with only a hand full of participants. Today, it has grown to over 100 players at multiple age and skill levels. Doug’s award is an acknowledgment that the Gulf South is a rapidly emerging area for the sport of lacrosse. Doug will be traveling to Baltimore in January to attend the US Lacrosse National Convention, where the award will be presented. Please join us in celebrating the dedication of Doug as he assumes the national stage in Lacrosse.
